About Di

Di Websdale-Morrissey distinguishes herself from Di Morrissey the fiction writer by the insertion of her maiden name.

She worked as a school crossing supervisor, teacher aide, pre-school assistant, nurse and administrator before finally working at her real passion – writing – and finding her place in the world of non-fiction.

Her journalistic works included many articles for various magazines and the Age newspaper, as well as online articles and blogs.

For 16 years she taught across the range of RMITs prestigious writing programs: Associate Degree in Professional Writing and Editing, the BA in Creative Writing and the MA in Creative Industries.

Her MA by project included a creative non-fiction work: Heartlines, Tales of a Muscular Pump and an exegesis exploring the literary non-fiction form.

Di is a widow with a very patient partner.
